My Personal Life

I call Wausau, Wisconsin my home because of my family and my lifelong friendships there. I grew up mostly with my mom and my sister and my favorite thing we did growing up was going to various amusement and theme parks during the summer months. I love roller coasters. I also really enjoy traveling and seeing different places. When I'm not studying or doing homework, you can find me hitting the slopes at Granite Peak Ski Area or at Mount Kato. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends hiking, shopping, boating, camping, watching movies, and working out at the gym. Even though I really like skiing, I still think the best season is summer because nothing beats warm weather.

My Academic Interests

My academic interests are interdisciplinary. On the language arts side, I am interested in young adult literature and applied linguistics. On the social studies side, I am interested in economics, educational policy, gender/sexuality, and race/ethnicity.
